Art, Design & Technology

At BSPS, we aim to encourage our pupils to explore a range of artists. We also offer the opportunity to use a range of media and different art techniques.

A crucial skill in art is analysis of different artwork. This allows the opportunity to reflect on different styles, techniques and themes. It also provides us with inspiration for future artworks.

Below, we have listed a number of galleries to visit. Whilst visiting a gallery, take a sketch pad and colours and allow children the opportunity to sketch their favourite artwork. Children can annotate artwork, thinking about what colours and shapes are included and what feeling the picture conveys. Parents should use their discretion when choosing which exhibitions to visit.
